Centre LCD in tachometer - how to stop from switching back to odometer after restart
On my w204 benz I was able to switch the middle LCD (between the speedo and RPM) to, say, radio, and it would be at the same menu after I switched off the car then came back hours later.
On my new GLE350d, is always seems to switch back to the odometer. Is there a way to stop it from doing this? Photo attached of where it always defaults to.

I own a 2016 gle 350 and I have it set to the digital speedometer- it always stays there and does not change unless I change it manually.
Maybe it is included as part of one of the option packages?
I just saw on your post- your cars are Canadian. Mine is American- I bet it is due to the country.

My car is doing the same. The digital speedometer may remain if the restarts are within an hour or so but generally it reverts back to odometer reading. I think it is a computer glitch and I plan to ask the service department.
My salesperson said it should stay where last set.
