GLE350d - OM642 Diesel - Turbo Whistle Under Acceleration?
Wondering if some whistle noise is normal for the OM642 diesel under acceleration? Notice is especially when accelerating between 80 and 110km/h.

The dealer is replacing the entire turbo. They've already replaced a few turbo seals once, but that didn't eliminate the problem.
Hopefully this cures it. Car has 2,500KM on it.

Got it back... noise still there, although a bit muted. All seals have been replaced, new turbo, etc.
It can be replicated if you put the transmission in manual and pull hard from 60 to 100km/h (don't push the accelerator all the way to kickdown, just before, so it pulls only in gears 5 6 or 7).
I drove the managers GLE and it has the same whistle, although a bit quieter.
Everyone sure they also don't also have this issue? Starting to think it's just the way these engines are, unfortunately.
