I've been looking to purchase the GLE450 Coupe, which is been renamed to GLE43 as 2017 model. However, I noticed the similarly optioned 2017 GLE 43 costs about $2000 more than the 2016 GLE450. Can someone help me understand the price increase? are there added features to justify the increase? I know the 2017 GLE 43 includes the Premium Package offered in 2016 GLE 450, but they also removed rear Center-armrest pass-through and Topstitched-dash board (a $450 option in 2017). Just want to know if the 2017 GLE 43 has less value than 2016 GLE 450.

I was told 2016 to 2017 the price of the car increases 1-2%. This is normal for small upgrades to the previous year car. If the car was fully redesigned, the increase will be different, higher %.

I don't mind the increase. I'm just struggling to find the "small upgrades" in 2017 GLE 43 that justify the increase. Cars should improve each year as technology advances.
