Android Auto freezing issue

Hello all. I have a problem with Android Auto in my2017 GLE350. I have to plug it and unplug it a few times to get it to load and when it loads it completely freezes up almost immediately. Android Auto works perfectly in my wife's Honda using the same phone (s7 edge) and same cable. I have no problems with Apple Carplay in my GLE but i cannot get Android Auto to work. Any suggestions? I tried different cables and since it works fine in the honda i am thinking its a software issue.

I have seen multiple complaints with android not working correctly. You need to take it to your local dealer so they can do software updates.

If you actually read what i wrote, you will see that this is an issue with the car not the phone since it works fine with other cars.

Not going to solve it. I changed to iphone, reluctantly, and I also have problems. Sometimes it connects with the wire and sometimes it just sits there and says "loading." Noticed I said, "with a wire." Is this 2010? Does MB know we have this thing called bluetooth? Also just yesterday the phone was connected and working and then it just decided to keep playing Pandora through the carplay but go back to the main screen like nothing was connected. And I serious have to connect the phone twice by wire a little over half of the time to get it to even find the phone.

But.....I still love the car.

I second that. Just because it's a 2017 don't assume it has the latest software. How much time has transpired since the build was completed until right this very moment? Software updates come out all the time, and they don't bother to tell you about them if you don't ask. I plan to make sure they check for ALL software updates before I take delivery. I learned this the hard way from my last car. The service dept was truly clueless when it came to computer technology. I had to educate them.
