Abnormal engine noise?
I've recently started hearing a ticking/clicking engine noise during slow acceleration and deceleration. It only occurs during low speed of 10-20mph or 1.5-2k rpm.
My fiance said she has heard this sound from day one, and I do remember brushing her off because I couldn't hear it.
Does anyone else have any experience with this noise?

so, it would be good to know the mileage, engine, and the area where the noise is coming from, noise only when the car is moving or also at idle, noise only when cold or also at operating temperature and after a drive. Noise gets louder as rpm increases or not. Noise changes in frequency as the speed increases. Noise is independent of speed and rpm. In other words, some additional information would be good.
Depending on the combination of symptoms, the issue could be different.
Rattling is usually heat shield. Clicking could be upper engine area, a valve or . . .
Vibration could be a variety of issues like engine mount, transmission mount, drive shaft.
Groaning could be wheel bearing or idler pulley and In some cases water pump.
If you have a long screw driver or a stethoscope, you can listen and hear where some of these noises are coming from. Just be careful with a running engine as there are plenty of hazards !

can’t fault their design and performance. But sound is not their attraction. Pretty soon they will add synthetic sound to those engines 😂
