The question is because I was planning getting the 21'' 10J rims from GLE63 to instal on my GLE 350d. The problem is the 1 inch wider rims /10J compared to my 9J 20"/ with slightly smaller offset /46 vs. 53/ will stick out 19mm more than the 20'' I have which is a way too much I think. I was wondering if the fenders can be modified easily adding the pointed-out part from the GLE63 fender or should be totally replaced?

They can be added. They are stuck on the normal fender. However you'll also need to swap the front and rear bumper if you dont want an awful gap between the fender flares and the bumpers.

Has anyone tried installing the J10 21'n rims on the normal fenders, do they really protrude ugly?

They do look weird to me without the fender flares... But that doesnt seem to bother everybody.

I think you can find some aftermarket replicas that will look just the same but have the proper offset. Cheaper too.
