The medical kit in my GLE is awful!
I cut my finger yesterday and not near home. No worries I got a brand new sealed medical kit in the rear of my 2016 GLE - NOT! I could not believe the kit had no alcohol or peroxide pads, wipes or swabs and contained no antibacterial, antiseptic or antibiotic crème, wipes or swabs either. Absolutely none! Kit mainly consist of a bunch of cotton gauzes with 2 skin cleaning tissues that did not have alcohol on it. I could not clean the cut until I got home.

Yes, you're correct. It's pretty pathetic. I Googled that kit and viewed the contents while waiting for my car to be delivered. I knew how inadequate it was from day one. I believe first aid kits are mandated by law in Germany, and many other countries as well. It's only there because they "have" to give you one. I guess the good part is, at least they give you something. Domestic automakers don't even give you that.
This is the kit I now carry, to supplement the OEM kit. I paid $10 for it at Walmart. It's very comprehensive. It fits perfectly in the little cubbyhole in the cargo area. I've had it from two cars ago. I had a different one before this. It wasn't as well stocked. I ended up combining the contents of both, so now I have even more supplies than pictured, and it all fits in the same case. Here's a link to the website. Unfortunately, they no longer carry this exact model. But I'm sure you can find something comparable.

I also carry these. They're a lot safer than flares.

When I came home from the UK brought these with me. Currently stowed in the rear of my GLC.
Agree, much safer than flares.
