GLE W166 CARPLAY RETROFIT
Hi all
I have a GLE MY September 2015. With audio 20 HU5s1 and comand display DSPC5s1. I’m struggling to find out whether CarPlay can be retrofitted.
Did anyone manage to retrofit it on audio 20?

i dont drive the GLE, but from reading through here i think carplay is supported is on 2016 plus builds after a certain date, i think january 16. Nothing is impossible to be retrofitted into cars, but
your looking at spending some $$$, I mean it comes down to whether you really need it..

If you are in the US - call the MB dealer parts dept with your VIN# - they should be able to tell you if MB CarPlay upgrade kit applies.... go to eBay - look for OBD CarPlay activation for Vladimir from Belarus email him with your VIN# if his upgrade applies..
