GLE350d Thinkware Dashcam hardwiring help needed
Hey everyone, I have a 2016 GLE350d that I've had a thinkware q800 pro dashcam for over a year. Currently it's plugged into the cigarette lighter, but I am getting tired of it just being plugged in there, and plus I cannot use the parked recording feature.
The dashcam came with a hardwiring kit, with 3 ends:
- one end that should plug into constant power,
- one end that should plug into something that powers when engine is on
- and a ground end.
I want to fuse tap into the fuse box thats under the right side rear seat as it contains the fuse for the cigarette lighter which will give me power when ignition is on.
What I need help with is the other wire that needs constant power, even when the ignition is off. Does anyone know where I can plug that into? I'd prefer if it was also in the same fuse panel as the one under the rear seats.
I know that the fusebox under the glove compartment is all constant power, but I'd rather keep everything in one box.
