New GLE owner, part sourcing question

I recently acquired a new-to-me GLE 350. The previous owner was a little hard on it, cosmetically. Luckily, most issues were ironed out with about a half day’s worth of thorough cleaning. There were still several things I’m having the dealer repair (as well as adding Apple car play) which is costing a small fortune. There was one item I couldn’t stomach paying dealer prices for. One of the silver trim pieces around the cup holder is missing. Unfortunately, that trim piece isn’t sold separately. It’s part of the full cup holder assembly which would cost anywhere between $300-500 in parts alone. That’s unnecessary for what I need. So does anybody have a good, cost-effective, idea on how to source a part of a part? I’d think either a used parts dealer or junkyard, but have never done either, so any specific recommendations are welcome.

Yeah, no idea why I didn’t think of eBay. They do have some used ones on there for about 1/3 the cost of new that I could probably cannibalize. I’ll have to keep an eye out for one that’s in really rough shape on the cheap.

Thanks.

I was able to get that resolved through ebay. Still more than I wanted to spend for a tiny piece of trim but at least it wasn’t the $500 part it would’ve been through the dealer.

Now onto a new thing. After washing the car yesterday, I noticed there was condensation inside of one of my mirror turn signals. It’s been hit... more than once. It’s pretty banged up. Now I’ve got an excuse to replace it. It looks like I’ll need to pull the mirror glass out to get to the screw to remove the housing. Is there a substitute for using a trim removal tool? What are the odds I break this mirror glass?
