I had that issue after I bought my GLE. It had a funky smell when the air is blowing thru the vents. I sprayed Lysol inside the intake duct and it was a big different.

 

Yeah, that sucks. Apparently you only get paid if you got it repaired? Problem is dealer always said "no problem found".

I must have changed the filters six times in four years.

 

Finally - I had a 2016 GLE AMG63S which I paid out a number of times to replace filters and have the system cleaned - sold that and now have an 2018 GLE AMG63S which still has the issue but I know the routine, about 1 1/2 miles from my house I shut off the A/C and by the time I get home it has dried out enough - if I do not do this I get the smell on this vehicle also - so, next service I will complain again and start having the dealer change the filters/clean the system, etc. I also will be sending in my receipts on my 2016 for reimbursements for the prior cleaning/service.

I received the post card yesterday, and filed it for future reference. I have not incurred expense related to this, so I am in the category of being covered for a future repair, if needed.

 

No postcard yet, but thankfully no A/C issues either.
