GLE 350 2016 (Diesel) AC won't work, Air ambient sensor code on.
Hi there! Help please!
I have a GLE350 2016 4MATIC Diesel
I had an accident a few months ago, and then there was a very small leak coming from the condenser.
I had the condenser replaced to a new one
After that the AC wouldn’t work (turns on but air doesnt get cold)
It doesn’t absorb the AC refrigerant (It starts, then stops)
We checked to see if it was an electric problem, we check all the fuses (by the compartment gloves, under hood, behind the passenger seat) they all work.
The AC mechanic thought i needed to change the compressor. I bought a brand new compressor at mercedes, changed the expansion valve, the air dryer. Still nothing works!
The engine lights has been on since the accident the diagnostic code is P0070 (Air ambient temperature)
I can’t quite locate the air ambient sensor in the car, and im not sure either if the mechanics perhaps didn’t connect it or cut it when they were mounting the front bumper after the accident. Also the temperature on the dashboards is at -40 degrees sometimes it doesn’t show at all
At this point i don’t know if the AC issue is related to that.
Also the driver door won’t lock since then (All the other ones are fine)
And at times, when i insert the key to start the car I have to turn it multiple times before it starts
