Hello MBWorld!

I own a 2017 GLE 350 SUV that recently had a run in with the garage wall while backing out. The left side mirror got twisted around (pointing forward)
I've attached some photos of the damage. The main damage was to the camera wiring which was ripped out of the camera. (see images below)

I obtained a replacement part from eBay (A0009051003), and only used the wire connecting the junction to the camera.
After putting everything back together, noticed the 360 camera has a black box (see third image) showing on the left side with an error icon (everything else is working). The front console also shows a message saying that blind spot monitoring is not operational.

I tried switching the camera as well to the one from eBay and had the same result, so I'm looking out for tips/guidance on what can be done to diagnose/remediate this.

You need to dig deeper into the door and wiring to see what else was damaged. The camera is not working. It was working before the accident. Something is not right.

My policy is to use genuine OEM parts. Was the eBay seller a genuine Mercedes dealer or parts source?

It was a private seller who claims it is a genuine part.

Does someone have access to a wiring diagram or guide on how to dig deeper into the door ?
