Last few services at the dealer I’ve asked my Navigation Map to be updated to current version. The car is now over the 4 year warranty. Last time I was in , I asked my advisor and she said that I have one last (3rd) update to do but she would have to order it in, comes I an USB type of stick she says. I haven’t been at the dealer since February, Next week, I’m going in to have my brake pads replaced and put on the order that I want to have the Navi map update performed as well. I just checked my Navi’ map update Ver and it says 2016/2017 V.6 N America. I’m upset a bit as I was told at service time at the dealer that Navi map was updated. It doesn’t seem to be the case. It looks like this is the very the car came with, when I picked it up at the dealer brand new. Am I reading this wrong ?

No, it sounds like you have a ****ty dealer. Call MBUSA and report them. MBUSA should be able to direct you to a dealership that actually upholds their standards.
2020 V13.0 installed on my 2017 GLE 350 4MATIC. No cost at the dealer earlier this year, vehicle was still covered by warranty.
Same here...my CPO 2017 GLE 350 had an old version of the maps when I test drove it. Without even asking, they updated it to the 2020 version before I took delivery. That is how a dealership should work.
