2021 GLE tires

Just drove home my new GLE 350. I purchased the 20 inch tires rather than the 19s simply because they looked better. My wife who is totally disinterested in cars noticed before I even did the difference in how the GLE looked with the 20s. I did also notice that they were Cooper tires , I was hoping for Michelin or Pirelli. The dealer was not willing to switch them with another GLE that was there. It seems that these Cooper tires were rated fairly well. I am new to this site and any tips that you can offer me would be appreciated. Thanks

Bryce,
What exactly are you asking? I don’t see a question...

GLE tires

Are the 20in tires anything more than cosmetic. Are there disadvantages to purchasing them?

Many people have commented on this forum that the 20 inch tires ride rougher than the 19 inch size. I own the 19 inch size and don’t think my ride is too harsh...
Also, people are very tribalistic when it comes to a tire brand.... Me... I went to Tirerack.com and looked at real world comments from people and also considered the highest ratings along with this and I chose ———ta-da—-Goodyear’s——I couldn’t be happier...
great ride, great in snow and rain, quiet and are wearing extremely well.
I hope this helps.

So true. I've been very pleased with many of the non-Michelin branded tires that so many in the tribe swear by.

Dunlop 200 treadwear tires came on my CPO 2016 GLE350 which has to be the lowest treadwear tire in the industry. My dealer wouldn't give them to someone else either. Even though they're A-traction rated tires, I'll actually be happy when they wear out and can get better all-season tires in the 600 treadwear range where that's still below what I have on a Lexus RX330 and a Ford Escape.
