Headlight switch

Can anyone with a 2019 GLE 400 tell me if the background symbols that indicate the function the switch is on are supposed to lite up when the lights are on like every other one on the dash does? the Dealer says this is the only vehicle that uses this switch that's in dozens of other models that is not backlit, only the moving switch is lit not the indicators like in all other vehicles they make.

This is a very annoying drawback of my GLE 2017 as well
I thought that I had a malfunction in switch itself

So Yours is dark also? I guess that's what we get for 75,000.00. I have another question if U don't mind, when the auxiliary fan comes on does the idle go up to 950 RPM?

That's correct. My switch is dark for unknown design reasons (

If I turn on fans to max on idle I don't see any changes with RPM. The readings are always steady, about 500 RPM
