Install OEM Headlight Bulb

I installed an aftermarket 35w HID headlight kit in my 2017 GLE 350 and now want to go back to the original bulbs. I'm having issues getting the OEM bulbs back in.

When I install the bulb it doesn't want to connect to anything, like it's missing an adapter ring. I installed the 35w HID kit from AZN Optics which required the H7 adapter plate... do I need an adapter plate to install the OEM bulbs? If so which one? I just have the original bulbs which I believe are halogen, they're not LED.
Any help is appreciated.
thank you,
Mike

Your OE bulb should look like the item on the left in this photo. If not, it's missing the adapter ring.

Thanks Gearfx! It was missing the plate that puts tension on the bulb when you twist to lock in place. Found it and installed the bulbs. Thanks again,
Mike

I am interested in knowing how long the LED lasts in that closed enclosure. Keep us posted

The HID lights were installed February 2019, so one lasted two years eight months. But one of the connectors was faulty on the light that stopped working causing the light to turn off and come back on randomly which I suspect put additional strain and wear on the components. Overall I was happy with improvement and will probably install another set. The install was pretty easy once I figured it out. Had to de-pin one of the connectors to get it through the H7 adapter ring. I think I may have messed up the bad light's connector de-pining it and will be more careful next time.

I also have HID but sometimes think of switching to LED. No issue with HID but with LED I do not need to buy separate ballast and capacitor for the warning message. I used it once in my previous accord but lasted just a month. So like to know if now with the improved technology if it can last as long as any HID and Halogen.

Switching to LED is not recommended...see attached response from AZN Optics when I inquired about led.
