Drives nice, looks to have a decent Carfax. The damage on the rear is a scrape on the back, not that big of a deal
I did notice some seapage on the front which looks to be coming from the front main seal. Should I be concerned? Everything I can see up top looks clean.
Should I be concerned about the mileage or look for a lower mileage one?
Thanks. I'm sleeping on it. The car looks to have been sitting around for the last 6 months or so, it may very well be a slow leak from the front main seal. There is so much room in the engine bay to work though, so doesn't look like a bad job.
Was kinda bummed it didn't have adaptive cruise control. Don't really like the style of the wheels. It was missing the second key and the push button start which I thought was strange. The interior also smelled like a used car, needs to be thoroughly detailed.
Something else stupid, the dealer installed a tracking device and is charging $1,800 for it. That's pretty much a deal breaker. I mentioned I absolutely wouldn't pay for it, so this deal may very well fall apart over that. The list price being under 30k, that thing puts it over 30k. Some voodoo they do with taxes brings it back under 30k, but still I'm not paying $1,800 for them to track me.
That car must be re-keyed, @$1200 ( two keys plus new code ), and labor to dismantle whatever contraption they installed, plus side effects of electrical work?
Russian roulette vehicle to me . Call me paranoid.
Sounds like some red flags to me, I would walk on this one.
Really enjoyed your ownership thread and it's one of the reasons I have been looking at the GLE 350's.
yeah, I'm going to pass on this one. The other thing too is finding an MB dealer willing to upgrade this one to Android auto/apple car play. Might be worth paying a little extra for a cleaner 17 MY.
