Just advice. Words of wisdom.
So just checking for thoughts and opinions.
so I currently have a 2019 E 53 amg coupe. I love this car. It is not my daily driver.
my current daily driver is a Lexus RX 350 f sport, and it’s honestly a great car. I’m just very bored with it.
so I am looking at purchasing a 2017 CPO GLE 43 with 27k miles on it. I have it ready to go…I just need thoughts and opinions on it, especially as a daily driver.
I’ve always enjoy MB vehicles and think they make amazing…everything. But I do know Lexus IS know for its reliability and it’s relatively low cost to maintain as a daily driver.
Mainly, if anyone uses these as a daily driver and things…basically talk me into it 😂

One of the workers at my work place. He daily drive his GLE43 everyday. I daily drive my GLE400 and before that my CLK500 (5.0L V8) that I daily drove it for the last 14 years.
The only thing is if you don't mind paying for gas with the high price. Then go for it.

My close friend drove 1 of those Lexus SUV and on short commute she was recording 5 mpg.
Her husband on other hand, drives Sprinters for years and with diesel engine the"barn door" sized Sprinters do record 20 mpg.
So smart husband bought GLK 250 Bluetec for his wife and now she can drive for a month without filling up.
My GLE 300d delivers up to 30 mpg in mixed driving.
Good luck with your choice.

Late model W166 such as the 2017 GLE43 are some of the most reliable MBs made this century.
M276 engine is solid. Base chassis is solid. 9G box is about average for MB, which is far below average compared with the industry.
Something to consider is can you live with the stiff AMG suspension.

I just moved from S560 to a GLE43 as a daily. Obviously very different cars but its been a blast. Comfort mode is cushy and enjoyable, sport is agile and zippy. I'm more than happy to hop in and drive whenever possible which to me is the greatest measure of a proper benz.

The GLE 43 AMG is can be set up like two different vehicles with a simple tune.
My wife drives it in comfort mode and it's smooth and 'rides like it's on air' while I drive it in sport+ mode with a Dinan tune in race mode.
Try to get P3 package and Active Curve. It will not disappoint.
