Remove side steps

I have a 2018 W166. I would like to remove the side steps / running boards. It appears there is a filler panel of some sort that would go in their place. Can anyone help me source these? I have looked for used and for aftermarket but wasn't able to find anything.

I removed the side steps off my 2015. They come off very easy but you will need to have the rocker panels off a non side step model. I found a set on eBay used. You will need to keep the rubber blocks ( its evident where they go) If you dont a lift jack (like at the dealer) will crush the rocker panel you just put on. When you remove the rubber blocks while taking the step off. You will see they have attachement screw ( not sure how they where held on). The problem is when you remove them and the side steps you need to reinstall them.( again to protect your rocker panel) I could not attach them or figure out how to attach them. So I cleaned the attachment point and put glue the blocks and then jacked the car uP ( one side at a time) This put pressure on the rubber block and ensure firm attachment. That was over 60,000 miles ago. ,.

im in southern Ill
