I have a 2016 GLE450, and recently i am having shifting issues when i start my car. after a minute of going back from D1 to N then it goes directly to D3. Is this a computer issue or some recent recall. I have yet to make an appointment with my local dealer.
Do you have the original batteries in the car especially the aux battery? The aux battery controls the electronic shifting. I would try that first.
when i connected the computer, i get two errors even after i reset the engine light a couple of times which also just came on few hours ago:
Unable to engage reverse, and Intake Air system Leak

Are they the original batteries?
It can be a numbers of things from TCU, software, conductor plate/valve body, low or dirty fuid, etc.
What's the milage on the vehicle? When was the last time you had a Trans fluid/filter change and last time you check the trans fluid level.
