They can be powered by 9, 12, or 24 volts to provide 3 amp USB power. This was a small 2 hour project requiring disassembly of the OH console. You tubes are about for this procedure.
It is a expensive but reliable solution. It could power on your camera even if the Engine is off and automaticaly disconnects if battery voltage below 12V is detected.
