Question Auto dip parking mirror

Hi Guys,
I Have just bought my first GLE 350d and love the drive, just have one question? I have read the manual and seen the videos on line but I still can't get my passengers mirror to dip when I reverse, has anyone got any ideas on how to make this work?
Also do all models have this option or is it only certain models?

Thanks Guys

on the drivers door handle/arm rest, there is the round button which adjust the mirror. above it are 3 buttons that have a mirror picture/diagram on them. The center button caused the mirrors to fold. Push the button on the right and when you put the car in reverse it will tilt down. If you push the far left button, the drivers mirror will dip down. Both cannot be engaged at the same time. I just tried this in my garage. When you put the car in Drive the mirrors will reposition themselves. I have 2015 ML350 in US>

Thanks isawelvis for getting back to me, unfortunately I have tried to do this several times but I just can’t get it to work. I was wondering if I have the capability to do this, or is it something I need to be uploaded.

but thanks

2016 GLE 350 4-Matic
Peter31,

i have a 16 GLE 350 and in the manual it describes a feature where you can have, as a stored memory feature, the passenger side mirror dip down when you put the car in reverse. There is a series of buttons that you have to push within a number of seconds to engage this feature. It is spelled out clearly in the owners manual.
It doesn’t seem to be available for the driver side. Maybe it was changed for 2016? Because the other poster is describing some thing that I cannot do in my 2016 car. The buttons on the left side on the armrest only engage the mirrors in my 2016 model. They do not start any movement of mirrors to dip down.

(From my memory...) This is how it works on both the 2014 GLK and the 2017 GLS (Maybe the GLE is different...):

Put the car is reverse, adjust the passenger's mirror down where you want it and press the seat memory button until it beeps.

When you reverse the mirror will move to that position.

This feature is only available on the passenger's mirror.
