Advice needed - 13 month GLE350 out of service for 2+ months
Hi all- I am based in Colorado and had to bring my 13 month old 2023 GLE350 into the dealership because the check engine light came on which lead to the diagnosis that the entire engine control unit needs to be replaced and they cannot get the part for 2.5+ months. This work will be covered under warranty. The dealer gave me a glb loaner and told me I had to submit a case to MB, which I did, asking for compensation for loss of use of vehicle or a buyback.
MB is analyzing/processing my request and said it’ll take 6-8 weeks but have warned me I might be entitled to nothing, which seems insane. Is there something I should be doing differently - should I be pushing for a buy back or gearing up to engage a lawyer if they’re going to try to lowball me? TIA!
