Need help to confirm AFT fluid and Gear oil for 2018 GLE 43 AMG
I went to MB dealer where I bought the car, and they gave me these MB236.17 for ATF fluid and MB239.71 for Gear oil. Are these right fluids for my car? -- 2018 GLE 43 AMG, 276 821 30, 725 038 01.
I have a feeling that it is not right fluid for gear oil. The part guy tried to up sell AFT filter only for $450CAN and need special machine to replace the fluid. I had to wait over 30 minutes to give me gear oil due to their computers were down. TIA.
FYI: ATF $130/5L, Gear oil $88/1L, Coolant $32/3.78L. (a bit hurt that I have to pay over $500 for two ATF, two Gear oil, two coolant and 13% sale tax, but I am happy to DIY and less painful than bent over at the dealer)
FYI: Last time I checked price list service from local MB stealers in Toronto area: Service A $484, Service B $864, Fuel filter $895, AFT fluid $905.

Thank you for the response. I am familiar with Bevo Fluid website. Bevo fluid is good when you know the MB-# or sheet # for the car so that you could go out there to buy any brand name fluids as long as it meets the given spec that number or stick with over price MB fluid. As always, I am stick with OEM fluids and oil filters. Also, I do oil change twice a year regardless of km/mile -- one in Spring/Apr and another in Fall/Oct.
I could confirm ATF fluid for MB-236.17 for 725.038 (this case is 2018 GLE 43 AMG with 9 speed transmission). I am not sure, but with some degree of certain that my car takes SAE 75W85 for gear oil. Over the weekend, I found out that the front diff takes MB 239.72 (001 989 88 03 12) and rear diff takes 239.71. The two MB dealers gave me 3 different number with 3 different persons -- dealer#1 (person1) gave me 001 989 33 03 12, dealer #1 (person#2) gave me 001 989 88 03 12, dealer#2 (person#1) gave me 001 989 33 02 12. I have no confident with the part guys especially when their computer were down. I think all computers network for MB dealers in Toronto area were down for a while now. May be hit by ransomware attack.
