Early Service
Good day,
i recent bought a 2016 w166 GLE 350D,
it currently has 75 000km on the clock. The dealer I bought it from could not provide proof of the last service, however, the car computer says I need a A service in 8000km
I intend on keeping this car for a long time, so as a preventative measure, I would like to perform a service on the car now at the start of ownership.
I have several questions:
1: what parts do you recommend that I change?
2: does doing an early service confuse the computer onboard? Or can the mechanic just reset it after this service?

I'd change the oil, the oil filter, the fuel filter, flush the brake system, change the differential and transfer case fluids, and change the transmission fluid and filter. You should check all the suspension parts for worn/loose bushings, check the engine air filter and replace it if necessary, check the cabin filters and replace if necessary, check wiper blades, and check brake pad wear. This will give you a good baseline starting point as well as general condition information.
To the best of my knowledge, resetting after an early service won't confuse the computer.
