Hi -

I just obtained a 2017 GLE from a benz dealer. I have a free trial of all the mBrace electronics stuff, and I am trying it out. A lot of it is working, but part of it is not. [see details / Symptoms below]

Looking for anyone who might have actual knowledge/experience with these odd symptoms.

I have been on calls with the Mercedes assistants and have rebooted, reinstalled apps, got a trouble ticket issued so they went back and reset everything on their internal systems, etc., etc, etc. So the old "unplugging and re-plugging" suggestion is definitely not doing anything here.

The Mercedes people have told me that I'd have to go to the dealer and get them to check the system (and this would incur a charge since it is out of warranty).

I don't have my own scanner / Xentry for this car yet, but I am sort of wondering whether I'd be able to check this out myself if I get an updated Xentry software and C6 hardware. [I have an older system with a C3 which I use for my 2007 ML350.]

Specifics -

Things that work include:
- talking to the concierge via the overhead console.
- the concierge can see where my car is located.
- the hotspot is activated on the car. My phone sees the hotspot, can connect to it, and can browse the internet via the hotspot.
- My Mbrace app (note that this car is a 2017, so Mercedes Me does not seem relevant ) thinks it can see my car. In theory it is all linked up.
- All the optional services are showing up activated on the Mbrace app.

Things not working -

- The Comand system cannot pull up any of the Mercedes internet apps or the internet. [In spite of the fact that the hotspot in the car is working!!!] - when I click on any internet thing on Comand, it says it is connecting to the internet, but then times out after 2 minutes and does not connect. [no connection to the internet, no iheartradio, mercedes apps, etc.] Other things on Comand all work - navigation, android auto, CD, SD card music, radio 3 month sirius trial, sirius traffic on the nav.

- My Mbrace app thinks it is working, but it fails to do things it is supposed to do. To be clear, all of these feature look like they are available, and the app responds as if it actually did send a command to the car, but the command never does anything.
For example 1) "locate my car" does not work. It is wierd that the app says it is locating my car, but never finds it. The Concierge can see my car, but the MBrace app does not.
2) the "Send to Benz" command does nothing. It says it has sent the information to my car
3) Remote start does not work
4) remote lock and unlock does not work.
5) horn and lights does not work
