So recently i noticed 2 things happening with my 2019 GLE that im not sure if they are related or not.
Whenever i unlock the car with the key i noticed that i have to be really close for the car to read the remote key functions so i figured its the battery, i changed the key fob battery and its the same thing still. Not sure if they key is going bad or maybe the receiving key fob module in the car... so ive been living w that issue for about a month now waiting for some downtime from work to really look into it...
but as of a few days ago i started noticing the alarm going off when i go to open the driver door (keyless entry), the door opens and alarm goes off... then i realized why...
the actual door lock pin (Picture below) barely moves when i go to lock or unlock the car even when using the interior lock/unlock buttons... it moves but barely does so. Im guessing its the door lock actuator? im hoping i can somehow repair it without having to take apart the door panel by messing w the lower lock latch that moves slightly when i pull the door latch? maybe WD40? any advise would be much appreciated...
Any chance the key fob issue is related to this as well?
Are you locking and unlocking the car with the key fob? Or are you locking and unlocking the car by touching the door handle on the outside of the car? Because it makes a difference
