When driving in comfort auto mode does your car down shift through every single gear as you are coming to a hard stop or does it skip some gears? Mine seems to insist to go through every gear and I was wondering if that was normal?
While having the trans looked at, I had a 2018 CLA loaner and I noticed that the 7 speed transmission would basically stop shifting through the gears if stopping fast and the gear display from go from like 6 down to 2nd and you could tell the transmission was not engaging the gears like how every other auto transmission in cars I have owned behaved.
The dealer said I could drive another 43 to compare but of course it sold before I could drive it.

Yes, our vehicle downshifts thru all the gears down to 2. The only time that it downshifts into 2 is when you're in Sport(+) mode...
