The Sales Advisor mentioned to me the 2,000 mile service for AMG cars, is this required for the AMG GLE Coupe ?

The short answer is "no". That sales adviser doesn't know what he/she is talking about. With regards to service, I wouldn't trust anything a "sales" adviser says. They specialize in "selling" cars, not maintaining them. That 2,000 miles service is only for very select models. The GLE Coupe is NOT included in this group. See attachment. I also looked through the maintenance sheets for the 16/17 GLE and found no mention of it being due at 2k miles.
