GLE 43 or GLE 500
Hi all,
Looking at two options to buy this week either a 2017 43 Coupe or 500 Coupe
Just contemplating what advantages of both are? Hearing the 43amg I love the misfire noise on down changes, does the 500 have this?
Also are the brakes the same on both?
Thanks in advanced

I’d go with the 43. The 550 is going to be refined with no drama. Not a bad thing, but you’re looking at two different styles of vehicles.

Hi, I have 500 and I would change for 43. First - it has so much more power than amg. Few of 43 in my city was trying to race with me at lights.
Because I removed 550 logo on trunk , they didn't know what is waiting for them. 99,99% of W166 are diesel here.
You can't imagine how their faces looks like when I steped a gas and left them far far away.
I know that this is not 63 but when You hear V8 you hesitate anymore.
As it goes about misfire and all those cool noises - 550 won't do them
I'm working now on it. Either I swap exhaust from 63 or I will go with catless kit and receive extra 80HP.

I was looking for a used 500 but came across a 450 AMG with the exact right spec for me. The insurance, mpg, feel and sound won me over. This car feels, to me, like a plaything, more nimble, alive and not so serious as the 500 I test drove before it. But then, I might just be biased since I bought it :-)
What did you decide? Logic versus feel, always an interesting argument.
