Paddle Shifter Extensions

I started messing around with manual shift mode lately. I went to reach for the shifter a couple of times and missed. Those darn things are waaaaay too small. I bought a pair of these and just installed them. They come in three different colors.....red, blue and silver. Much better, and cooler looking too. For those of you who think, "Paddle shifter extensions on an SUV?", the Urus has them, so why not our car. OK, OK, so this is no Lambo, but you get the point.

I use mine a lot when the wife is not in the car.

Just recently, I thought this very thing, that they are not big enough, nor can you tell which is up / down shift. While it's marked on the paddles, it's black like the paddles, so you can't really see it.

The one thing that would scare me about these would be if you grabbed them from the top part of the extension. I would wonder if that could put a "twisting" motion on the paddle that it's not designed to go thru. Otherwise, I like the look, and the fact that you can at least tell you that HAVE paddle shifters....

I tried pulling them from every part of the extension. They work fine. No twisting motion on the paddle. If you look at the pic below, you'll notice the molded cut-outs cover the entire area of the existing paddles. Also, the top portion of the extension has a cut-out. This gives your fingers a nice place to grip. The extra girth of these extensions makes them much more accessible when using a 10 o'clock/2 o'clock position on the steering wheel. I find the shifter right under my fingers. What I also liked about this particular model is that the "+" is in black, while the "-" is in red (in the first link). Below is a different link that sells the same extensions, minus the colored markings.
