GLE 450 Coupe vs GLE AMG GLE43 Coupe Differences
Good morning, can anyone here explain the basic differences between the two models in the title?

Do you mean the W166 2019 model? The possibilities are GLE400 SUV and AMG GLE43 coupe. The main differences are cosmetic and suspension tuning. They both use the M276 3.0 V6 twin turbo engine and 9G transmission variants.
Or do you mean the V167 2020 model? The possibilities are the GLE450 SUV and AMG GLE53 coupe. The differences are cosmetic and suspension tuning. They both use the 3.0L inline 6 engine and 9G transmission variants.
There is no GLE450 coupe.

Thank you ThreeMB's. I was unclear in my question relative to model year. I was indeed asking about 2016 model years.
You confirmed what I suspected, that the MY 2016 GLE 450 Coupe was not called an AMG but for all intents and purposes was one. And it was dropped in MY 2017 to be called AMG.

There was a MY 2016 GLE450 AMG coupe for the first year only. Then for MY 2017-2019 it was "replaced" or rather renamed as GLE43 AMG coupe. (The same was done with W205 C450AMG - one year only, then C43AMG). The major components like engine, transmission and the body of course are the same, except the engine in the last two years was tuned for a bit more HP and TQ. There could be some options differences and electronics upgrades from first MY to the last MY. Essentially they are more or less the same.
