2018 Android Auto Question
The GLE63S I just bought has the below:
14U SMARTPHONE INTEGRATION PACKAGE
16U SMARTPHONE INTEGRATION APPLE CARPLAY
17U SMARTPHONE INTEGRATION ANDROID AUTO
But I could not get android auto to load at all when plugging into the bottom usb in the center console. I bought the car anyway knowing it had those packages but I wonder if there was something I was missing? I couldn't find an option in COMMAND to enable to disable it.

I set up Android Auto and it was working fine. Then set up Bluetooth and my phone. Android Auto disappeared from the menu choices.
I then reset the head unit to the factory settings. That brought back Android Auto which I set up again, I also set up my phone using Android Auto.
Both are working now.
I'm guessing Bluetooth phone set up, messed up Android Auto. I could be wrong but they don't seem to like each other.

Well I just brought it home, reset command, and still no dice. Carplay loads fine, but no android auto. Tried different cables and different phones, but no reaction. What could be off? Firmware version? It's a 2018 so I can't imagine it's that far behind to not support AA.
Edit: figured it out. Had to go to TEL, scroll to Android auto, and enable it auto starting. Silly.

I would think the firmware is OK. Mine is a 2017. Are you using the bottom most USB connector?
I also added this "Android Auto for phone screens" app. I'm not sure if it helped since I installed it on my phone just before I reset the head unit.
It might be worth a try.
