Has anyone ordered the Mercedes roof racks or a third party for the car? I have searched online and it appears that the Benz ones are the only ones that fit the car and are just over $500 for the pair. Anyone else have experience with these?

I got these from Harbor Freight. They work fine. I'm assume that that my ML 14 fore and aft rack is similar to yours.

wow! Thanks. Those are great pics and look like a good solutions. However, I don’t have the rails that run along the top. I am being told that is a factory option that can’t be retrofitted. I just have 4 slots, two on either side for some sort of quick connect. I did find a Thule option online that is more expensive. Going to do some more digging. Thanks so much for the quick reply.

I use Thule Aero bars, great product. I have an SUV with roof rails. A coupe with no rails needs a different solution.

What are you carrying? Do you have a hitch receiver? Will a hitch mounted device work for your load?

how is the wind noise? I’m looking for something cheap, we only need them once a year when it’s time to get the Christmas tree.

carrying mountain bikes. Using the hitch to carry luggage. I have the Yakima high road racks for the bikes. Just need to get a good set of cross bars.
