Hi everybody,
I am new the forum. Thanks for having me! Been an avid AMG fan my whole life and finally got into one of my dream cars last year, E63s, after owning a GLE 43. Here is my situation - I find myself traveling into the Northeast a lot more and have to get an SUV. I know its doable but I just don't feel comfortable driving my E63s in the snow. I am thinking of a GLE63s coupe, a GLE63s SUV or a GLE53. I'm just not sure at this point.
1) Does anybody feel the rear view is crazy limited on the coupe? Does it drive any differently from the SUV?
2) How are the GLE 63s (coupe and SUV) in the snow? Are they strictly performance or do they have real practicality for winter terrain?
3) How does the GLE53 compare to the 63? I feel weird going down to a 53 after owning the 63 and loving it but does it just make more sense?

Another issue is that I think I can get the GLE63s SUV in two color schemes I just dont like very much so I would have to get it wrapped. My current E63 is obsidian black on black.
Thanks everybody! Appreciate any advice.

Buy a set of Nokian snow tires. You can go anywhere with them on your E63.

Buy yourself a used Subaru Outback and your snow/storm driving anxieties will vanish.

I went from a C63 to the GLE53 and don't regret it at all. The 53 still has impressive power and corners like its on rails. I always found there wasn't many places I could show off my C63 anyways because traffic has increased so much in our area.

Totally agree.
