Picked up this absolute animal the other day
An SUV this big has no right being as fast as it is. Just frikin HILARIOUS.
I LOVE the M156 but my god, the M157 is no slouch either. And the pops and growls and gurgles etc from the performance exhaust, it's just so funny. Only the lunatics at AMG would make a muscle SUV that will smoke your average sports car...
I had been looking at picking one of these up for months, but prices went crazy and all the CA examples were either high miles or beat. Was about 5min away from buying an identical one in FL when I was there last weekend and driving it home, when this popped up 8mi from my house. Got lucky!
Fully loaded to the gills (only missing the Night Package as far as I can tell), full warranty until Dec 2025, carbon fiber and beautiful brown leather interior, tow package (to tow my not-really-road-worthy-anymore W204 C63 to and from the track). It's astonishing how far performance and technology have come since I bought my C63 in 2014...
Going to try not to butcher this baby like I did my other AMG. We'll see how long that lasts... maybe I'll just start with blacking out the grille and trim...

I love it. Just the perfect vehicle. Brutally fast, can haul tons of stuff, hulking road presence. I’ve added some carbon fiber bits to it and dark tint plus afe prodry filters. Trying not to mod it much.
I don’t know what to tell you on must-haves. Mine is pretty much fully loaded although it’s missing the night package which blacks out the trim. Tow package was critical for me for towing my track car and hauling mountain bikes.
MB in Naples FL had a really nice one about 2 months ago that I was very close to purchasing. It had been on the lot for 70 days so is probably gone but wouldn’t hurt to check. It was priced to sell. Had night package but no tow.
