Production delays??
My GLE53 was originally a March build. My SA mentioned it had been pushed to May. Today he mentioned that all April and May builds have been pushed further to July. I don't mind the wait as long as the car has all the important features, but I hope the SA is not being sneaky and giving the allocation to others who are willing to pay a significant markup.

Thank you for the details. I placed my order (request??) 09/17/2021. At that time, he mentioned a Jan 2022 build, worst case end of Q1. It became March, then May and now July. Yeah, it is a painful wait. If it gets delayed further say September, I wonder if we'll be getting MY2023.

That aggressive stance stance of the coupe is something else. Too bad we wanted an occasional 7 seater.

while I was bummed about the unavailability of dashcam, I found out that it has to be turned on manually everytime through the settings in MBUX interface. Now, I don't feel as bad. One thing I love about the Teslas is that they not only turn on automatically but also capture important events when parked. Damn, the other companies have a long catching up to do... sigh.. Apologies for the rant.

Exactly, Tesla captures video from front, sides and back, it will even save them permanently if you honk, you can even watch live video from the Tesla app. I'm disappointed too that MB doesn't have any of those features. You can purchase a dash cam and wire it to the fuse box and it will save events automatically in parking lots, etc. however if there is an electrical issue with your car later on MB may not honor the warranty.

I didn't like the running boards on my 2018 GLE 43 when I picked it up. As I was asking and looking around about replacing the running boards I realized that I found them very useful when exiting. So now I think there a keeper. If I ordered a new Benz SUV they would be on the list.

This is due to a disruption in the supply of electrical wiring from Ukraine and "palladium for catalytic converters to nickel for electric vehicle batteries" from Russia. AP reports that "BMW has halted production at two German factories. Mercedes is slowing work at its assembly plants. Volkswagen, warning of production stoppages, is looking for alternative sources for parts."

I just found out my 53 Coupe has been built/has a vin and is waiting at the factory for an update or mod(according to SA). Has anyone else experienced this and have a data point for the timing of delivery?

Based on what I've seen, If no "Stop Sale" order has been issued on yours due to missing components, the timeline is about 2 weeks.

I ordered Gle 53 coupe in Sep 2021 and it should arrived at Feb 2022. But for now, my dealership kept me waiting without any notice. I asked them but they told me they have no control of that due to chip shortage. Don't know what to do

I went by my dealership this morning (Mercedes Benz of Westminster Colorado) just to browse. They have a GLE53 on their showroom with an MSRP of about $89,000 but have a $15,000 "Market Adjustment" added. Such is today's car market.
