Failing 48 Vol Batteries

Has the 48 volt battery in your vehicle failed? Mine failed after the sunroof shattered, so that had to be fixed before the sunroof could be replaced. That was just a few weeks ago, and now the 2021 AMG GLE 63S is back at the dealership for a 48 volt battery problem. This morning, they told me they would probably have to again replace the battery!

Please, let's try to get all of the 48 volt battery problems in one topic so that we may determine what percentage of owners are having this problem!

Sorry to hear about the battery and roof issues.

48V failures are widespread across models since the system was introduced about 3 years ago.

E-Class
CLS-Class
C-Class
GLE/GLS

All of the above have seen reports of 48V problems on this site. It's a pity for MB who has failed miserably on this. And a pity for owners who have to spend the time and effort to be inconvenienced by MB's poor quality.

I got it back today. I missed it, as it is a pleasure to drive. I'm planning a business trip to Arizona, so hope it works, as it is a fine highway cruiser - we are not as tired after riding in it as I was in the Grand Cherokee it replaced.
