Anyone aware when the GLE63S Coupe will get the new dash like the S class and C class? I’d hoped it would be for 2023 model but seems that’s still going to be the carryover design with a large screen plonked into the old dash. Which is a shame for such an expensive car with bespoke/handmade theme. As it is, the C class has a superior cockpit and dash to the GLE63S. Frustrating!
I don’t know how MB handles their mid-cycle updates/refreshes, but the new dashboard could be added then. Obviously 2023 isn’t an update but maybe 2024 will be the refresh year, marking the halfway point for this model.
166 refresh in 2016 had a new instrument panel and screen. So the precedent is there for something to happen screen-wise. Don’t expect a complete new IP or new seating platform.

Please -- I hope you are not wanting the dash layout with the Tesla tablet in the center console that encourages the driver to look away from the highway ahead like in the 1st photo below. I am so pleased that my GLE53 and CLS53 have the dual screens up in front of the driver where the dash displays should be as in the 2nd and 3rd photo:
^^ Agreed. Far better execution in the GLE instead of the "tilted" pad. Not into looking over and "hunting and pecking" on a screen that is dab smack in the middle of the interior. Interestingly, I've heard people say they wish the two 12.3 screens were one long one so as top be full size/screened. I've now realized there is a reason there are two because the gap is right where the steering wheel is. If it was full screen you'd be bobbing your head around that part of the wheel to see the screen. So MB definitely got that right.

I think that todays GLE line dash/cockpit design looks so dated compared to current MB models and is overdue for a refresh. My local MB dealers have no idea

We might as well to have a gaming console with massage seats!
But if I I'm actually operating a motor vehicle, I'd prefer to have a useful display instead of a brightly lit one.
I agree that fiddling with things that are not in your line of sight is a danger. It's called distracted driving.
I hope the next one is designed with driving in mind.
"Useful" to me is more important than "modern." It's one reason I'm not driving a Cayenne.

OK, but please no Tesla Tablet that looks like it is glued on to the middle of the center console and encourages distracted driver viewing.
The refreshed GLE will only be receiving a new steering wheel from the E and S-Class, not an entire new interior. If you want the latest MBUX 2.0 interior design you will have to wait for the next-generation.
