Website and AMG owners manual supplement says 22.5 gallons. Build sheet says item code 915 - 93 liter fuel tank which is 24.56 gallons. Adding the reserve to the 22.5 gallons from the AMG supplement manual makes it over 24.56 gallons for the 53 and 63. I filled up at the pump today and it said 499 miles till empty and after I drove a mile it readjusted to 465 or close to. Highway on a 63 is 19 so 19 times 24.56 is 466 miles. I know I can't go by that either. Just looking for the real capacity.

Same discrepancy here on my 53. My hunch is the build sheet is accurate and the manual is not updated.

Agreed and that extra couple of gallons can come in handy. Next time when you fill up note the mileage and after you drive a mile or so it will recalculate. After a fill up I believe it defaults to highway mpg for total miles left until you start to do a bunch of stop and go (city driving) then it will recalculate again. Since the 53 is 21 highway then at 24.56 gallons it should read 500 miles or a little over after a fill up. I'm going to fill mine up again tomorrow and pay attention to it more closely.

IIRC I have seen like 519 or so when filling up during a long trip. "C" mode and cruise set to about 78. I will pay more attention later this month on my vacation drive up to the Smokies.

I have a 2018 GLE43 AMG that has a 95L fuel tank = 25 gallons. Because it's 3.0L Bi-Turbo V6 that gets 25+ mpg on a trip, I can get more than 600 miles indicated on a tank. Awesome!

I also have a 2021 GLE63S AMG. It has an 85L = 22.5 gallon fuel tank. Because it 'only' gets 22-23 mpg on a trip (still amazing for what it is) I only see about 490 miles indicated.

I'm pretty sure MBZ reduced the fuel tank by 2 gallons with the current body style in order to make room for the optional 3rd row seat.

Got back from NC mountains today. Took back roads and kept cc on about 73mph all day. Filled up and dte read 542 miles. Dropped to 541 by the time I remembered to take a picture getting up an on ramp.

Taking a stab here, but could be that the 93-liter number is the total capacity, while the 22.5 gal (85 liters) is the amount (minus reserve) you can fill when the gauge shows empty.
That would explain the 8-liter difference (2.1 gallons).

Sounds about right. On the GLE53 coupe, I get around 550 miles on a tank when doing an avg of 67-70 MPH on extended highway trips. Achieved highest MPG to date on a recent trip a couple of weeks ago (25 MPG).
