2021 GLE 63 DAMN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Ok, after loving my GLE 450 since I purchased it new in 2021 to trading it yesterday (200 mile drive) towards a 2021 GLE 63 with every possible option and to boot, the same Selenite Gray I am fully in love with this vehicle. 450 was awesome, but the 63 is just screaming for me to drive it so it can consume massive amounts of fuel!! and that noise from the tailpipes !!! Some notes on the options. I'm not sure why people are down on the massaging seats, but I thought it was great while driving. I'm not expecting a masseuse, but seriously It makes a difference. The combination of Augmented reality and the HUD is stellar (have to figure how to adjust the HUD). The air balance is ok but the acoustic package definitely makes a difference. The illuminated runners are definitely a pain and I feel like I will be getting my pants dirty every time I step out of the car and getting the all seasons on the 22's makes for a challenge for your installer. Seriously, I do feel that it has a completely different feel from the 450, I have a lot of tweaking to do to set it up right but going to sit with it and set it up this weekend. Anyone on the fence, I can resoundly say that this gets my vote. Would have been easier with 21's but I had no choice and it does look great. Ride is surprisingly not much harder than the 21's on my 450, but maybe that has to do with the suspension as well.

Another quick note for those who like me, live in the NYC area and need all seasons for their 22" rims. I could only get the Pirelli Zero all weather (similar to what I had on my 450) and I thought at first that the tire installer messed up because you can see some of the lip of the rim on the front tires, but per both my Mercedes service guy and dealer, they see this with the 22's and all seasons.

There's so much to like there. Congratulations.
How can you keep your foot out of it?

I can't what a rush between the sound and acceleration when just passing on the highway. Thanks, I am very happy I did this. So the MB warranty iis good until 2024 or 50K (8K on mine). I'm debating an extended warranty but should I just wait ntil I get close to the end of the MB warranty about 3 years away.

Congrats. I love mine as well. Here's where the head up is located. When you scroll across and have AMG highlighted it's right there like in the pic. Flick up and select and then the menu will appear. I've put 5K miles on mine since taking delivery at the end of July this year.

Awesome, Thanks. Can't wait to get in some weekend driving and time figuring our how the new sets of buttons operate. I never really bothered with setting up profiles in the 450, but maybe this is the perfect opportunity

Almost forgot. I got the 22” Pirelli Zero AS on my 53 a couple of months ago.
They’ve been great tires, although def not as grippy as the Advans (which will net you about 13-14k miles, specially rears).

Hi, that’s great to know. Thanks. I had them on my 450 with 21’s as well and they seemed ok. Did you notice the front tires are a touch narrow for the wheel itself? My MB dealer said they see this a lot with the 22’s and all seasons. Rears are perfect. Are then Advans all season too? I wasn’t ready to try the Nitto’s.

Stay away from Nittos. I had them for about a week and they were horrendous. It was like driving on wet cobblestones (Discount Tire took them back and traded up for the Scorpions, I just paid the difference).
Cheers,

It's also really important to use it if you're not pleased with the tires.
As we talked, it's important to give the tires a couple hundred miles to remove the release agent, to verify that you're experiencing the tires alone.
One set of tires I didn't like from the beginning, refused to wear out and I had to put up with them until I sold the car.
Another set I took off after a thousand miles, couldn't return them. I stored them in my garage for years until I paid the recycling fee to get rid of them.
I always check the return policy. And I try to time my tire purchase so I can put some miles on them during that return period.

Hey, Thanks, I was pretty stoked when I found in VA (4 hours from NYC). I guess I got used to the stereo in my 450, so this wasn't a change, would love to upgrade it, but seems like too much hassle. Everything else on the other hand has been game changing for me on this platform. It even has a full clear bra on the front and ceramic pro all around. Took it in for service B (ouch) and all was good.

Iirc the DC6 was like $4550 on my 2022 order. You'd spend half that at minimum at a good auto sound installer for adding signal capture, amp and sub(s) with custom fab enclosures to the stock Burmester. If you search I think I remember reading on the Forum of several guys who added some sub boxes for much better sound at a pretty reasonable cost without a ton of work.

Very nice. My build is similar but has the 811 Burmester which is nice, necessary but overpriced. The X5MC has the Bowers Wilkins which is also very nice.

You are lucky and have the important options like: massaging seats, acoustic comfort, HUD and others. Most of these would be impossible or cost prohibitive to retrofit. A stereo upgrade should be fairly routine with the right shop.

^^ Did you order yours or buy it from Dealer stock? I ordered mine on 4/14/2022 and got it Monday, July 25th which is lightning fast and with no constraints on any options I ordered. I also paid a 12k dealer markup I negotiated down from 15k. To me that was reasonable at the time considering I got exactly what I wanted and how fast I got it.
On another note I see you have a heated steering wheel as well. I have a question about it I posted in the other forum. Here goes: It seems like mine turns off and won't come back on at times when the car is really toasty warm on the inside. Other then that it does appear to work normally. I did find online that older ML SUVs would automatically switch off once inside ambient reached 86 degrees or more. Owner's manual doesn't mention anything like this however. You notice this?
