2017 GLE63s Oil leak

I have had my 17 GLE since October, but within the last couple of weeks I have caught the smell of burning oil, typically when its driven aggressively, but smelled it the other day with the windows down house shopping with the wife. I am not smelling while moving, only when I come to a stop. I crawled under neath, removed the plastic cover so I could see more of the engine and I saw some evidence of a leak on the back of the block on the driver's side. There is a definite stain on down the head, down the block. I am thinking valve cover given its location but not sure if that is a common issue on the M157 or if there is another culprit possibly on that side that I am missing. I did a search of the forums and didn't find anything specific to this but on a comment someone said that an oil leak on the catalytic converter was common but there was no detail to what was the root cause of that. I attached a picture of what I found. Any help is appreciated.

On my 2018 GLE 63s coupe when I had it. It had the exact same symptoms. Oil leaking down onto the drivers side cat causing burning smell. It took the dealer a few tries at it to get it right. Thankfully it was covered under warranty.

I appreciate the input. I figured it was most likely that given the location of the leak. It goes to the dealership next week for recall work and I am having them inspect it and get me a quote to fix. Mine unfortunately is not under warranty any longer.

Could it be a camshaft sensor?

Would it be possible that it is leaking from the camshaft sensor? Or was it just the Valve cover gasket ?

My 2017 GLE43 AMG had an oil leak. The dealer repaired the timing cover that was leaking oil onto alternator and a/c compressor
