Magnetic Mount on Amazon. 10mm's and 45's (1911 frames), this mount works very, very well. The magnet is powerful and has a trigger guard as well. Extremely easy to reach, and out of the way. The 1911 is

o big for the Glovebox, so this was a perfect solution.
Love my 1911s. The Girsan chambered for 10mm with 6" barrel is a shooter! For car use carry the SIG 365 holstered on hip with my CCW or in center console. Higher powered SIG P320 in 40 S&W or M17 keep in gun safe with fingerprint quick access. Recently purchased Henry Big Boy X chambered for 44 magnum which is an excellent Truck and in my case Wagon lever action Rifle and will use on future trips cross country.

Also just bought a Bulldog carry case for Utas UT9M-BK6 that can use Glock 33-round magazines. The affordable UT9M with Red Dot is extremely accurate at the Range against cases of soda cans, Individually lined out, 15-20 yards away while walking in a figure 8. It will eventually replace the SIG P320s. My three 1911s are just too valuable to lose if entire car is stolen. Best Pistol Ever.

I ended up going with one of the most trusted gun safes that fits under the rear cargo floor. It keeps everything secure and out of sight, and it doesn’t rattle or shift around when driving. The install was simple, and it doesn’t mess with the spare tire access either, which was a big deal for me.

I did not check what state you are in. When I was in the "Gun Free" city of Chicago in the state of Illinois that simply IGNORES the Constitution of the United States - and our rights as citizens it was a non-question. No law abiding citizen was allowed to keep a firearm in a safe way in their car.......well, unless you were a criminally corrupt cop who could not pass a freaking drug or psych test....but....on to safes.

Why would you leave it in the rear seat? Is access while in the drivers seat not at all a concern - ever? Sure, in the neighborhood that is one thing...but, there are times...(for me, every city near me Ocala, Orlando, Gainesville, Jacksonville, Tampa.....if I am on "Martin Luther King Blvd") I would rather have my protection available. I wish I were joking about the name of the road and need for protection, unfortunately I am not.

Again, I did not check your location, maybe you can not carry on your person at the wheel.....
