I would find another dealer before that wait. To be honest. It’s 2023 not 21-22, that’s very, very long.

I’m im no rush. He actually tried talking me out of getting the 63 since he said it’s not good on snow.

Anybody else have info on this? David’s comments and my dealer having no allocation available has me worried. As I’ve already sold other ride, in anticipation of this. I can’t wait until fall.

Checking in, still nothing for everyone?

Also, as an aside, is this normal for MB that practically every other model is available for allocation except a single model? As the entire GLE lineup, including the 53 can be ordered at this point. Is it due to the V8 of the 63?

Dealerships will get small allocations of the 63 due to the V8 being on its way out. By 2025, supposedly no more V8’s from Mercedes. That sucks.

Yes, well at least in NY dealerships. They are charging 5k-25k markup for 63’s. No way in hell I’m paying that: please get it in writing that they won’t charge you over MSRP once you go get your car.

I actually reiterated with my dealer today (for the umpteenth time, haha). Way too many bad experiences at other dealerships, get a good vibe from my current guy.

Oh well, hopefully they open allocations before end of the month!

I also edited my build a bit after doing further research. Added all rear seat options and the carbon fiber engine cover. I’ll add the AMG fuel cap if it becomes available.

Just added the running boards for the kiddo and the trailer hitch in case I carry something. As I just realized you can’t add those after delivery.

At this point too bad G63 isn’t at MSRP, I could just order that lol.

Also still no update regarding allocations, I check in weekly with them.

I’ve got one wife and one kid so it’s overkill haha. Not a fan of the body style either, only like the G if we’re to go bigger than GLE coupe.

I thought of getting the GLS for 2024 because GLS is getting the High End 3D Burmester, which is a feature that I really want. However, the GLE is so much sexier.

Yeah I was let down on the 3d Burmeister not being available as well. Thought it might have been a shortage issue, but apparently it’s a design thing from where they place the extra equipment and MB decided against it after originally having it.

at least that’s what I was told.

I can see that logic. The 3D system in my 2022 GLE53 is really, really nice for OEM. I'm glad I was able to order things like the 3D sound and upgraded brakes before they became hard to get. The GLS is very nice and IMO the latest refresh looks good for a large vehicle like that.

the thing is I don’t have a family, but I’m a big guy so wouldn’t mind have the big space and sometimes friends can go in the back seat, but that 3D will be amazing since it is 29 speakers in the car.
