Hi forum members, I am considering putting in a custom order for a 2024 AMG GLE53. Based on what I’ve read about the estimated MSRP, my build cost will be around $95k + tax. I want to know:

1- how much discount should I anticipate?
2- should I negotiate the deal before putting in the order or at the time of delivery?
3- can I order from any MB dealership in US and have car delivered to my local dealership for pick up?
4- would you recommend any brokers that you know off?

A discount on an AMG GLE53 on a refresh year? I don't see it happening at all. Some dealers I contacted on my order even wanted a premium to ORDER. and are charging 5-15k adjustments for on lot vehicles (latter was more for Coupe, but still).

expect no discount as a lot of dealerships are marking them up. MSRP is a win for the AMG’s. You can order from any dealership, but you are responsible for shipping it. You can try to negotiate at time of delivery.

Okay I understand where you are coming from as many people ask what discount did you get? Huh, this is a new day and the dealers operate differently. also if you are willing to buy a car off of the lot that can not seem to find a buyer, a discount is possible. Or if you will buy an electric off of the lot, a discount is possible as they have tons of electric cars and limited gas models. If you want to custom order a gas Mercedes in today's environment, you should make it clear no market adjustment or surcharge and that is about as good as it gets. Yes of course I asked for discount and the politely explained to me that if I wanted to custom order a 2024 GLE AMG 53, discounts are not possible and the best they can do is straight MSRP with no surcharges or market adjustments. This is the real world today for luxury gas car.
