I just got my 2023 C63 and saw the Affalterbach crest on the back of my key. It made me realize I don't recall seeing it on my 2022 GLE63 and sure enough it's not. I thought all 63s came with this. I went back to my SA and he ordered two backings using my VIN. What showed up was the plain black backing. My assumption is that was correct because that's how the key comes but you usually get a metal tin with foam that has the Affalterbach backing that you swap out for the plain one. Anyone have a 2022 or a GLE and did it come with one for yours? By the way the price of that plain piece of plastic backing was $92 retail - insane.
