GLE SUV vs GLE Coupe Questions

I originally posted this in the GLE V167 area but I think it may be answered better here because I would like more information regarding the GLE 53 AMG SUV and coupe.

So I have about 7 months left on my GLE 350 lease and I’m considering getting a new GLE. I am really liking the coupe design and it is more unique. Being 6’4ish I do need headroom which the GLE SUV has and I am also curious as to how the headroom compares for the driver in both. I know the rear will have less headroom due to the design, but I don't care about that as I won't be sitting back there.

Anyone have any insight or experience on how the coupe and suv GLEs compare? I know they don’t make a GLE coupe that’s non-AMG for the states. But I would like an idea of how different the GLE coupe is from the SUV (ride quality, size, noise, etc). For reference I am looking at the GLE 53 AMGs for both the coupe and SUV and possibly the 450 for the suv.

Greetings. I owned a 2020 GLE 450 SUV and now a 2023 GLE63 Coupe. I am 6' or so. No issues with headroom in the front or back seat int he SUV or the Coupe. They both are great and each format works well. Te extra storage space not he WUV is nice but I am also pleasantly surprised with the space in the Coupe, although yes, it has some limitations. With my dogs the SUV was a better choice but we use our other car for them now. Both are great choices; however, I prefer the Coupe for performance look and feel versus my previous SUV (subjective obviously!).

We own both and your assessment is spot on. I am 6-foot tall and have plenty of head room as well. SUV has more cargo space of course, but the couple can hold its own.

Cheers,

Cheers,
With having the 350 and the 53 AMG, how do they compare in terms of ride quality, road noise and comfort?

The 350 is def a better “plusher” ride quality, specially on bad roads, even with the coil springs, whereas the 53 is of course stiffer with the sportier tune and “22s.
Road noise feels almost the same with the edge again to the 350, even though I have the acoustic pkg on the 53, the 350 is def quieter, so to answer your question, comfort wise the 350 wins all day long, and the 53 turns corners like it’s on rails.

Cheers,

If you get the ARC on the 53, it will ride better than the 350, air or not.
The worse the road, the bigger the difference.
