Cool Mercedes Removing Options from GLE-Move to GLS?

I've waited patiently for the high end 3d burmester to come back to the GLE or even hopefully the 4D with the refresh. Since none have materialized I've put in an order for a 24 GLS 63 with it. After seeing the GLS in person it started to grow on me, doesn't look nearly as bad as some online videos make it out to be with the lens distortion.

I also see that a lot of options for GLE 53 have been removed like ARC and acoustic comfort? People who got their 63/53's pre 2022 fully loaded really lucked out as even with the refresh, you're missing some deal breaker options imo.

Anyone else making the jump to a GLS?

I'm currently waiting on my GLE 53 AMG Coupe build. I did not order the options you mentioned, but I am hearing they are not adding the AMG fuel cap or the carbon fiber steering wheel to the builds. I am debating jumping ship to a GLS 450, but I want to see my build in person once it's delivered and see what the dealership can do on pricing for the inconvenience. This is my first AMG.

I'm estimated delivery early December. Just confirmed with my SA that no carbon fiber wheel which is a bummer but he told me that they are out of parts and will not be taking anymore orders for that on any vehicle so I went with the microfiber wheel.

Good news though is that I was able to get all the options I wanted, I loaded it up, and I got the high end burmester 3D which I would recommend to anybody who enjoys/cares for having a good sound system as the base is very disappointing to the point that the only music I listen to now is the exhaust open

I'll be moving from my GLE 53 which I got 01/22 during the pandemic that was originally a 63s order fully loaded. My GLE 53 didn't come with the a lot of options I wanted and the ARC which after having tried it, I wouldn't buy one without it for how much better it makes the ride feel comfort wise. Base suspension 53 rides harsh on anything but perfect roads, especially the rear seats, your passengers will complain every time like mine do.

I recommend that any of you buying a 53 63s or any car DO NOT compromise on key features. While you may talk yourself into that when you see the car in person, over time it will wear away at you and the price we are paying for these vehicles and the depreciation on them, it is not worth settling. Make sure you get EXACTLY what you want or walk away and order later.

I'm really glad I passed on my 23 GLE 63s when they didn't put the high end 3D on it. There will always be a later time you can order the car exactly the way you want it.

that’s why I canceled my GLE 53 order. I really was hoping for the 3D Burmester and they canceled my ARC/Carbon fiber wheel so I canceled the order. I’m not going to pay $105,000 and not be happy so I totally agree with you. I will make sure I will be the first one on the list for the GLS 63 for 2025 model year. I’m happy you made the switch and enjoy.

I feel the same way and I am in the same boat. I really want the carbon fiber steering wheel and I know I can get the AMG fuel cap off eBay. But at the end of the day I don't want to "settle" on a car thats 100K. Sure the carbon fiber steering wheel and AMG fuel cap are low cost options, but the steering wheel is the most touched thing in any car.
