Burping vs farting
Now with 1,000 miles on my 53, disappointment remains when shifting: previously I could “goose” the 43 at shift points to get a very loud crackle and still keep speed below limit. However, the 53 is so powerful that goosing it just snaps your head back into the headrest and then the 53 merely burps instead of farting like the 43, no matter the shift point.
If anyone has a technique to goad the 53 into passing more gas when shifting, both literally and figuratively, please share.

As for trying to get the sound back out, I would recommend an EVM (exhaust value module) it is not going to blow you away but at least it sounds louder on lower RPM range. Another thing is to drive it in sport+ more often and at higher RPMs often when the engine and transmission is warm, the car probably learned the calm smooth driving you had during break-in. It will then slowly open back up. If you don't care about warranty though, downpipes and exhaust modifications, burble tune, etc. will be next on your plate.

You could always plug a bypass plug but the reason why you might not want the exhaust fully open all the time is the drone on the highway or waking up neighbours in the morning.
It doesn't list the GLE 53 though, you might need to email them: https://burgertuning.com/products/va...r-bypass-plugs
